QUALITY OBJECTIVES

To train botanists that will contribute to the national development in research and technology by

Producing at least fifteen (15) graduates each academic year

Reviewing the botany programmes /curriculum after every four academic years

Organizing at least 6 field trips / industrial attachments for our students each academic year

To pursue academic excellence through high quality research by ensuring that the department produces at least two (2) publications in each academic year

To equip at least 300 students from other schools with basic and professional skills in botany by offering practical oriented and service courses each academic year

To produce quality human power that can steer Kenya towards the achievement of vision 2030 and beyond by ensuring at least all students admitted in botany programmes gain practical skills through industrial attachment and laboratory lessons each academic year

To initiate collaborative research with local and foreign institutions in the fields of Botany and to develop multi-disciplinary approaches to address societal problems by developing collaborative research proposals for funding and attending international exhibition and conferences.
